*This program requires students to complete a proposal process to be accepted into this path of study. This application includes a full course plan with 30-45 credit hours, at least 50% distribution of 300 and 400 level classes, an essay clearly stating the student鈥檚 goals and justification for their decision to study as a Self-Directed major, and finally interviewing with the Chair of the Self-Directed Major Committee. Once in the program, students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA while faculty advisors monitor their progress and quality of work.
