Goal Statement

Most programs require a goal statement, which should prove that your past achievements will enable you to succeed in your graduate program(s). After your completed goal statement is uploaded with the application, it will be reviewed by the faculty selection committee.

Dual Degree Graduate Application Requirements

You can apply for two graduate programs. Just submit an application for each program in accordance with their respective application instructions.

If you are already a student in one program and would like to add another program of study, you may do so. Still, you need to apply for the additional program by following that program’s application requirements. You must submit a letter from the chair of your current program indicating you are in good academic standing and are approved to add another program of study.

Regardless of how you apply for additional programs, you can use the same supporting materials, such as references and test scores.

Transitioning to a degree or certificate program

Admission as a visiting graduate student neither implies nor guarantees subsequent admission to any other program at ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú. Interested students should check with the graduate program coordinator/director to determine whether courses taken as a visiting graduate student will be accepted for another program and learn about limits on the credits that can be applied to a degree program.

Determine your eligibility for the through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ Yellow Ribbon Program Information website and obtain appropriate authorization from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

• If you are eligible, apply for educational benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Complete the application form on the Graduate Admissions website.
• Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) form. Gallaudet’s School code is 001443.
• Accepted applicants and enrolled students should download an Enrollment Verification form and get a signature from the Registrar’s Office showing that they are enrolled as students.
