Our MAI programs utilize an interdisciplinary approach to interpretation, accompanied by a state-of-the-art interpreting laboratory and extensive fieldwork, focusing on both interactive and monologic approaches to interpreting with an increased emphasis on theory and research. Experienced full-time faculty members with national and international reputations teach and advise students in the program. The M.A. program offers two concentrations.

Dual Degree Graduate Application Requirements
You can apply for two graduate programs. Just submit an application for each program following their respective application instructions.
If you are already a student in one program and would like to add another program of study, you may do so. But you still need to apply for the additional program by following that program’s application requirements. You must submit a letter from the chair of your current program indicating you are in good academic standing and are approved to add another program of study.
Regardless of how you apply for additional programs, you can use the same supporting materials, such as references and test scores.
* International applications need to take the TOEFL or IELTS and have the testing center send the scores directly to Gallaudet; the ETS institutional code is 5240.
