Many Gallaudet students receive outside scholarships, institutional endowed scholarships, support from their state鈥檚 VR funding, and government loans. Our financial aid office will work with you to explore all available scholarship and grant opportunities.
All newly admitted undergraduate are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships by the Admissions Office. So let your ACT, SAT, and GPA scores shine as you discover up to $80,000 in scholarship awards.
Grants are a need-based Financial Aid option through Federal or institutional programs that you do not have to repay.
FWS is a need-based program that will place you in an on or off-campus job to provide you federal funds through your regular paychecks.
Loans are a popular option to attend college without having to pay until after graduation. However, with interest, these can add up quickly. Work with us to find the best loan option for your needs.
Gallaudet employees and their immediate families may be eligible for a substantial amount of tuition waivers, significantly reducing the cost of attending Gallaudet.
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) provides services and funding to deaf and hard of hearing individuals in an effort to help them obtain full-time employment. Each U.S. state manages its own VR resources and supports, but in many cases, VR funding can be applied toward higher education.
After initiating a relationship with your state鈥檚 VR agency, connect them with Gallaudet鈥檚 internal specialists to explore what funding may be available to you. More than half of Gallaudet鈥檚 current students take advantage of this wonderful free resource!
