Our mission is for all students to grow and thrive throughout their time at Gallaudet while acknowledging their intersectional identity and needs.

An Office For All

At MSP, we foster a hub where Deaf, DeafBlind, Deaf Disabled, Hard of Hearing, Late-Deafened, and hearing individuals; as well as students of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, first-generation students, and others from marginalized backgrounds can come together to discuss, learn, share, and take meaningful action on issues close to their hearts. Our office, located at JSAC 2200, is a space for all to come together and connect.

We’re all about embracing discomfort and turning it into growth. This isn’t just a department; it’s a community that celebrates differences and champions personal and academic excellence. We break stereotypes, challenge norms, and create a Gallaudet experience that’s uniquely yours.

Multicultural Spaces That Are Yours

MSP’s Students of Color Space located at JSAC 2200 is where vibrant cultures intersect and create a haven for Students of Color. Join this empowering space, designed for students of color to convene, connect, chill, study, and celebrate the rich tapestry that makes Gallaudet extraordinary. The Students of Color Space is more than a physical location; it’s a symbol of unity and empowerment. 

MSP also holds regular LGBTQIA Drop-Ins, it’s a community where LGBTQIA students come together to share experiences, build connections, and foster a sense of belonging. No judgments, no boundaries—just a space where you can be authentically you.
